FREDERICK, MD – Recently, the Bettie Jane Cancer Foundation presented Frederick Health with a pledge of $50,000 recommitting their their support of Frederick Health.

“The Bettie Jane Cancer Foundation supports Frederick Health and the James M Stockman Cancer Institute as an extension of our mission to help all Frederick County cancer patients and their families. Many of our board members are lifelong residents of Frederick County and have had personal experience as patients or family members fighting cancer. We do not focus on one type of cancer; our logo includes multiple colored ribbons with hands joined in unity to represent our wish to fight all cancers,” stated Kathryn Landis-Bogush, President, Bettie Jane Cancer Foundation.

“We are honored that the Bettie Jane Cancer Foundation has chosen to continue their support of Frederick Health Hospital. This grass roots, volunteer organization has made a significant impact on the lives of numerous local cancer patients and their families since its formation in 2011. The Foundation’s most recent charitable gift to the hospital will help ensure that even more patients are able to receive comprehensive, quality treatment right here in Frederick. We are most grateful to Bettie Jane Bryant and the Foundation for their passion, energy, and generosity,” said Tom Kleinhanzl, President and CEO, Frederick Health.

The Bettie Jane Cancer Foundation is recognized as a member of the Corporate Honor Roll. The Frederick Health Business & Industry Committee founded the Frederick Health Corporate Honor Roll to provide financial support for Frederick Health's strategic goals. The Corporate Honor Roll roster includes a diverse group of more than 90 local businesses, organizations and foundations dedicated to helping Frederick Health fulfill its commitment to serving the health care needs of our community.
