Frederick Health to Debut Mobile Health Clinic

Frederick Health is pleased to announce its participation in the annual ‘In the Streets’ festival hosted in downtown Frederick, MD on September 11, 2021.

Clinical professionals from Frederick Health will be on hand from 11 AM to 5 PM to administer free COVID-19 vaccines – no appointment, ID, or insurance required.

In May 2021, Frederick Health received a grant from the State of Maryland to help increase vaccination rates across the county. As part of those efforts, Frederick Health developed a mobile health clinic aimed at bringing healthcare services directly to residents in Frederick County. This mobile clinic not only offers free COVID-19 vaccinations but can also perform a number of routine healthcare functions such as check-ups, screenings, and more. The Frederick Health mobile clinic will be at the intersection of Market Street and Fifth Street.

Frederick Health is proud to partner with the Frederick County Health Department, the Asian American Center of Frederick (AACF), and Frederick County Housing and Human Services (HHS), Spanish Speaking Community of Maryland Inc., and the Love for Lochlin Foundation. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Frederick Health has moved quickly to stand up testing for COVID-19, provide care to COVID-positive patients, maintain healthcare delivery in the inpatient and outpatient setting, provide education and reassurance to the community, and adapt to the many challenges presented by COVID-19. To date, Frederick Health has administered over 200,000 COVID-19 screening tests, successfully treated and discharged over 1,500 COVID-19 positive patients from Frederick Health Hospital and administered over 39,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccinations.
