Frederick Health Unveils New Robotic Surgery Platform

Frederick Health recently unveiled its new, state-of-the-art da Vinci 5 robotic-assisted surgical system. This is the most advanced surgical system available in the country, and Frederick Health is the first and only healthcare system in Maryland to have the da Vinci 5 available to treat patients. This exciting and innovative addition offers numerous updates that will benefit the patient, the surgeon, and the growing Frederick community.

The da Vinci 5 was unveiled by hospital leadership, the Board of Directors, and a team of surgeons at a special event last week at Frederick Health Hospital.

As the Frederick community grows, Frederick Health continues to invest in robotics, staff training, and the latest technology to bring world-class, quality care to residents. These enhancements ultimately improve the patient experience.

"We've offered robotic-assisted surgery for years at Frederick Health," says Dr. Natalia Kubicki, a General Surgeon with Frederick Health Medical Group and Chair of the Robotic Surgery Committee at Frederick Health, "but the da Vinci 5 technology is the most advanced and innovative machine out there. This technology will translate into reduced pain, more efficient and minimally invasive procedures, improved recovery time, less medication, and better patient outcomes."

This investment in the da Vinci 5 technology builds upon Frederick Health's existing suite of robotic-assisted surgery platforms.

"This all leads to a positive and beneficial experience for our patients," said Kubicki.
