Expanding Critical Care and Emergency Services

In the last 25 years, Frederick County's population has grown by nearly 40%, making it the fastest-growing county in the state. Frederick Health is committed to keeping pace with that growth by providing award-winning, comprehensive healthcare services. One such effort is expanding the new Critical Care unit at Frederick Health Hospital. This state-of-the-art expansion helps prepare Frederick Health to meet the community's growing and changing needs.

With the addition of an entirely new adult emergency department and a pediatric emergency department, families will have access to specialized care tailored to all ages, ensuring timely and effective treatment. The pediatric inpatient unit provides a welcoming and safe environment for younger patients, addressing the unique needs of children and their families during difficult times.

Tthe new intensive care unit will enhance the hospital's capacity to provide critical care services, improving outcomes for patients with severe health conditions. The addition of a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory means that the community will have access to advanced cardiac care, right on their doorstep, reducing the need for patients to travel far for specialized treatment.

Overall, these expansions not only elevate the quality of care available in Frederick County but also contribute to the community’s health, well-being, and resilience, ultimately fostering a healthier and more supportive environment for all residents.
