Her answers to those questions are below.

How did you get to where you are today?
A lot of school and training! After college, I completed medical school, a plastic surgery residency, and a hand fellowship. The support from my husband has been key in helping me get to where I am today.

Who has made an impact on you?
There have been many mentors and colleagues who have taught me valuable lessons about being a surgeon, patient care, bedside manner, and empathy for others.

What has helped you the most with your success?
Dedication and vision. I've wanted to be a surgeon since I was a child and despite all the challenges that come with this profession, I always knew what I wanted to do. I knew that I had to push through to achieve my goals.

What is the biggest challenge you've overcome?
Balancing school and patient care with family and extra-curricular activities. It's easy to forget to do the things that make you happy.

How do you make a difference?
I try to make an impact by actually listening to patients and having compassion and empathy for them. I want to treat them the best way I can and work my hardest to help them get back to better.

What advice would you give?
Take care of yourself so you can take care of others. Don't give up on your goals, and be kind to yourself. Instead of seeking work-life balance, think of it as work-life integration. Find joy in both your career and your personal life through hobbies, family, travel - anything that makes you well-rounded and happy.

What are you most proud of?
I am so proud to be a mom! I love my boys and they bring me so much joy.

How do you reward yourself when you're reaching a goal or after a hard day of work?
I love to travel! Spending time with family and friends while exploring new places is my favorite way to recharge.
