Notice from Frederick Health:

As many in our community know, we recently experienced a ransomware attack that disrupted some of our systems. Our dedicated team, along with cybersecurity experts, have been working tirelessly to restore our operations safely and effectively.

We are pleased to share that as of Tuesday, February 18, 2025, our electronic medical record system has been restored to normal operations. This was a crucial milestone and means that we can now return to scheduling and rescheduling appointments and procedures, more easily prescribe medications, and return to our normal care processes. Our patient services team will be reaching out to patients to reschedule appointments that were cancelled over the last few weeks.

We understand that many in our community have questions, and these investigations take time. We want to assure you that we will provide information when we have sufficient certainty around the details. Frederick Health is committed to fulfilling our legal notification obligations.

We cannot overstate how grateful we are to our community and our staff for the patience, empathy, and support they have shown over the last several weeks.

Frederick Health Hospital & Emergency Services Update:

Frederick Health Hospital and Emergency Department remains open and operational. We are consistently collaborating with emergency medical services (EMS) regarding any need for limited or temporary re-routes as the situation warrants.

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

Laboratory Services Update:

All Frederick Health Laboratory locations are open.

Frederick Health Medical Group Services Update:

All Frederick Health Medical Group locations are open during normal business hours. Please plan to keep your scheduled appointment.

Please bring the below items to your appointment if you are able:

  • Medical history and allergy information
  • Current medication bottles, inhalers, insulin, and monitoring supplies
  • Copies of medical tests and/or imaging reports, if relevant to your appointment

Patient Portal Update:

The Frederick Health Patient Portal is temporarily unavailable. For laboratory and imaging results, please contact your ordering provider's office. Prescription refills can be requested by calling your provider's office directly.
